Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Cleanspace ("Cleanspace", the "App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our iOS application and related services.
Our approach is to request only the access reasonably needed for the functions you decide to use. This Policy explains the information involved, why it may be used, the choices available to you, and the safeguards that apply.
1. Scope and Privacy Approach
This Policy applies to Cleanspace and the services made available through the App. It does not replace the privacy terms of Apple or another third‑party service that you may choose to access through or alongside Cleanspace.
The App uses permissions and information to provide requested functions, maintain performance, understand feature usage, support advertising where applicable, and protect the App from misuse or security threats.
2. Information Involved in Your Use of Cleanspace
The information available to Cleanspace depends on the features you use, the permissions you grant, and the configuration of your device.
2.1 Photos and Videos
If you authorize Photos access, Cleanspace may access media stored on your device to provide functions such as:
- Detecting duplicate or similar photos;
- Reviewing similar photos and videos;
- Identifying and managing large media files;
- Supporting swipe‑based photo cleanup;
- Compressing videos and photos.
The photo and video analysis used for these cleanup functions takes place on your device. We do not upload or view your personal photos or videos as part of this media analysis.
2.2 App Activity, Advertising, and Diagnostics
We may collect limited information about App interactions, advertising, crashes, performance, and other technical events. This information may be used to operate the App, evaluate how features perform, personalize the experience, resolve errors, and improve reliability.
As described in our App Store privacy disclosures, certain usage or advertising information may be linked to you or used for advertising purposes.
2.3 Information You Choose to Provide
If you contact us for support, submit a request, or otherwise communicate with us, we may process the information you provide so that we can review and respond to your communication.
3. Purposes for Using Information
Subject to the limits described in this Policy, information may be used to:
- Deliver and maintain the functions you request;
- Perform photo and video organization or cleanup actions selected by you;
- Monitor stability, diagnose technical problems, and improve performance;
- Understand App interactions and general feature usage;
- Detect fraud, abuse, errors, and security incidents;
- Display or measure advertising where applicable;
- Answer support inquiries and user requests;
- Meet legal, regulatory, and platform obligations.
4. Device Permissions and User Control
Cleanspace may ask for access to your photo library, network connection, or another device capability only when that access is relevant to an available function.
You decide whether to approve a requested permission. You may also change or withdraw access through iOS Settings, or controls made available inside the App.
Declining or revoking permission may prevent the related function from working, but it does not require you to grant access to unrelated information.
5. Local Media Processing
Photos and videos used by Cleanspace's media‑cleaning tools are analyzed locally on your device. The App may present results such as duplicate groups, similarity suggestions, large‑file listings, or estimated storage savings so that you can review them before taking action.
You remain in control of whether to keep, compress, or remove selected media. Content deleted through the Photos framework may remain in Apple's Recently Deleted album according to your device settings and Apple's rules.
6. When Information May Be Shared
We may rely on service providers for functions such as analytics, advertising, diagnostics, technical infrastructure, and App operations. These providers may process limited information as necessary to perform services on our behalf.
Information may also be disclosed when you consent, when disclosure is required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce rights, maintain security, or defend the App and our services from misuse.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes stated in this Policy, unless applicable law requires or permits a longer period.
Media analyzed by the photo and video cleanup functions is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the reason it is processed, security requirements, and applicable legal obligations.
8. Information Security
We apply reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures intended to guard information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
No electronic transmission, device, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot promise absolute security.
9. External Services and Platforms
Cleanspace may operate with services provided by Apple, analytics providers, advertising providers, infrastructure providers, or other third parties.
Those organizations control their own services and may apply separate privacy policies and terms to your use of them. We encourage you to review the relevant third‑party information before using a connected service.
10. Children's Privacy
Cleanspace is not directed to children below the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in a manner that violates applicable legal requirements. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, please contact us so we can remove such information.
11. Privacy Rights and Requests
Your location may give you legal rights concerning personal information, which can include the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing.
You may withdraw device permissions at any time through iOS system settings or in‑App settings.
To submit a privacy inquiry or exercise an available right, use the contact method described in Section 13. We may need to verify a request before acting on it, and some rights may be subject to legal exceptions.
12. Updates to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in Cleanspace, available features, our data‑handling practices, platform requirements, or applicable law.
The date shown at the beginning of this Policy identifies its latest revision. Material changes will be presented by updating the “Last Updated” date; where required by law or platform rules, we will provide appropriate notice to users.
13. Contact Us
